V6.41 RC1 is not working for french users

The RC6.41 is not working when installing it in french (even with the reset at installation startup). Unable to add any group. Install it english and it's fine.

It reminds me of a bug that was already in 6 with the language dll. Regressions...

Yes, I'm working on it. I had tested the options screens which are usually the problem. I missed the Add Groups screen. As far as I know everything else works.

So far, I don't have any other problem, I use the english version.

It solved also a problem that I had (but seems to be only me) : I was unable to navigate through internet while downloading. I have a 100mbps bandwith and even by limiting the speed at 10, I was still unable to use firefox or chrome (timeouts).

Now everything's is fine.

That's odd, I don't think anything changed that would affect that. We have found that running fewer connections to the news server can still give you full speed but leave more room for other applications to jump in and get bandwidth. If you are running 20+ connections, other apps have a harder time grabbing some bandwidth.

Reducing the number of connections also reduce the number of rejected logins (for giganews with giganews accelerator). At 20, I still have full bandwith. I'll try less.

Give the French version another try. It shouldn't crash anymore. There are some adjustments I need to do for some languages but I think French is in pretty good shape. Just run the installer again and choose your language.
