New Posts - not younger than one day

Postby Steffi » Tue Dec 11, 2012 1:54 pm

Hello!

As there was massive cackdown on NZB sites, I have to download the headers/posts myself again. So, adding some binary groups, I noticed, that no articles younger than ~ a day are downloaded. So, the articles start 21h in the past till further in the past, the newest, the present ones, are not there, like posted before 15mins or so. I also switched servers, but the same. With Grabit, eveything is fresh, so it is an issue of Newsbin. Also, the header download, compared to grabit, is so slow.

Version is 6.4, same with 6.41b.

Hope, anyone knows how to fix this, thx!

/Steve

PS: As I can see now, it happens mainly with groups with lots of posts: a.b.x264 also loads the latest, a.b.hdtv.x264 stays 21h in the past.

If there's a number in parens at the bottom "Cache X/Y (XXX)"

That means Newsbin is still importing headers. You won't have the most current headers till that's done.

A nice trick to see what's in the group is to type the group name into the group selector dropdown (first one, second line) in the search tab (full name) then just click the search button without adding a search term. It'll show you the most current posts on the server.

I started to get the same issue 2 days ago, nothing newer than 23 hours showing and ive downoaded the headers correctly. Im getting it with a.b.teevee and a.b.multimedia only at the moment, I tried del the database and downloading headers again but still the same

Did you read Quade's post?

You won't see the newer headers until Newsbin is done processing them in the background. When the numbers in the parenthesis go away, you should be able to load everything.

Yeah, assuming the server is delivering the headers.

Yes i did and as stated it is still not working, there is no waiting for it to load issue... it simply updates then after a wait displays that there is nothing newer than 23h now its dl headers ok like normal but once asking to show me new its not. yesterday it stated 23 hours today it states 23 hours the new posts are there but they are yesterdays, so its working but a day behind...

im using astranews and ive tried ssl and non ssl along with eu and us servers, they could all be busted but it seems odd only to be having the issue only with groups with high post counts to me. I would expect to have all my groups be a problem if it was with astra?

Maybe the date's wrong on your PC. I did tell you how to check what's really in the group.

oh come one :-) really?

as told above, with grabit, all new headers and posts show to 1 minute, tested with SSL and NON SSL with astraweb, also tested with US and EURO Servers, all the same.

no numbers in paranthesis, so to be honest, that issue can only come from Newsbin.

PS: Today, it is working again, as usual

anyway, now, articles cannot be retrieved, log: dmca removed. I don't know, I did not care for years about that stuff, but how can posts be removed by the DMCA that quickly?
