are filter suppose to apply to searches(pre)

for me filters are not applying presearch(internet, havnt tried local) only after the event. Is this by design? If so any chance of making them apply pre search?

I assume you're talking about search profiles like "Global"?

If you're talking about the min/max size and age, they should apply "pre" in both cases.

aye filters like global..

have just tried again and its ignoring the filter completely pre search. I select a filter, perform an internet search I see my results are matching my word search but not filtered. If i then select the filter again its applied.

update size dropdown is applied pre search, but takes no notice of ignore size filters for file types option. All seams fine once you have the results though.

Filter profiles can't work pre-search. Not the way things are currently designed. Newsbin would have to send the profile up to the server and the server would have to have some way to process it (which it can't). So, size, age and the like are pre-search and profiles are post search.
