More bug fixes:

• Fixed issue in NBRemote regarding unrar and repair responses.
• Added additional protection to the group range check. One of the news services was returning bogus group ranges.
• Fixed issue with "Load Special".
• Changed caching of the "From" field to a different algorithm to help with loading spammy groups.

Changed caching of the "From" field to a different algorithm to help with loading spammy groups.

This change means spam filled groups that were talking 30 minutes to load are now loading in 10-20 seconds. It's the primary improvement in B3. It's been tested by several people who noted the slow loading.

Still noticing effects of that weird load-multiple-NZB issue...

With B3, I just bulk-loaded a collection of 132 NZB files (seems all posts display) then highlighted all of the posts and saved them to one (combined) NZB. The collection of 132 totals 185.1 MB, and the "ALL.NZB" file is 117 MB (lots of dupes in the NZB collection) which is probably correct... BUT, when I then load "ALL.NZB" only a few pages of posts display. (Tried exiting Newsbin, restarting, and reloading -- same thing.)

I'll try to reproduce it. It's not something I've ever tried.

Here's another perhaps related weird one...

If I have two NZB files containing the same postings, but in one of the NZBs there are some incompletes, when I load both NZBs together the incomplete postings show as incomplete...but not always; sometimes the incompletes show as complete. Gonna take a wild guess here: If the "incomplete" NZB loads first then the incompletes show, but if the "complete" NZB loads first then the post(s) show complete...???

Also, just wondering, if when loading a NZB, does Newsbin report any errors/corruption in the NZB file, and what does it do if there were?

I had this beta installed and I could not Save selected files/posts to a custom list. I reinstalled 6.40 and it works again.

EDIT: I also just noticed when I scroll thru the list of posts, it's faster with v6.40. It was sluggish using the v6.41b3.

I'd also like to add that I'm REALLY liking RegEx. I didn't know about it until I visited this forum. Thanks!!!

I'm finding it useful for other things as well. It's something that I've needed for a while but didn't know how to go about doing it.

Sometime recently (don't know which beta) I've lost the ability to resize columns. Sorting works normally, I just can't drag the columns. Update: seems to be an anolomy--I also couldn't drag and drop untl pressing escape.
