Download path not kept

Postby Tattoo » Fri Nov 30, 2012 11:06 pm

I updated to version 6.40 and now when I select 'Download to Existing Folder' for the second time after downloading a first set of files, the download path is set into the folder of the first time I used 'Download to Existing Folder' and NOT the download folder that is set in the configuration or settings for that group. I had v6.34 before I updated and it used to go into the download folder that I chose in the settings. I liked it better how it worked in v6.34.

Thanks,

I would like an option to have both "Download To New Folder" and "Download to Existing Folder" start in the "Main Download folder" as set in the option menu rather than using the last selected folder. If the "Main Download folder" is overridden by the download path set in the "Groups List", Newsbin should honor that override.

This would save a number of clicks switching from the last folder I used to the folder I want to use/create now. I almost exclusively use "Download To New Folder" and "Download to Existing Folder" for my downloads.

I'm looking at this. The new variable pathing makes it a little more work on my end.

I found this option in the 'Advanced' section of the options, 'When selecting a new download path, start the browse in the current download path', and thought it would help because it's basically what the problem is about, but it doesn't help whether it's checked or unchecked.

Well, yeah that's what I was working on today. It works now. It'll be in the next beta.
