Comma/Period Separated numbers e.g. Download all headers

Hi,
This may seem trivial and I would have thought easy to implement - when downloading all headers from big groups, sometimes the numbers run into the hundred of millions...however, sometimes it is tough to separate ALL the zeroes to see how far in we are in our download - Is there any way of 'VIEWING' large numbers by a 'FORMAT' setting (e.g. nnn,nnn,nnn) as one would do for some applications regional setting - I realize that the Thousand separator in German for example is typically a period rather than a comma. Windows 7 uses the 2 terms Digit Grouping and Digit Grouping symbol.

Anyway, just a thought....
