Won't unrar without a .rar

I noticed if I download a set of rars that don't have a .rar file and instead start with a .r01 NewsBin won't unrar the set. The error is unrar failed 0%.

My understanding is, unless you have the first RAR file, the RAR set is junk.

It's not junk, I am able to unrar the sets and it's good.

I have seen some posted sets which start with 001 and are complete, yeah. Rare, bad form, but it happens.
