Problems with Newsbin and Windows 8?

Hi guys, I upgraded to Windows 8 yesterday and all of a sudden my downloads through NewsBin have gone right down.

I've got a 100Mbps connection and speedtest.net says I'm getting around 90Mbps, however, I'm only getting between 5-10Mbps through NewsBin since upgrading to Windows 8 yesterday, whereas I was getting around 90Mbps.

Are there any known issues with NewsBin and Windows 8?

I'm with Giganews if that helps.

I get 100+ with giganews and win8. Last night both Giga and Astra seemed to be getting hammered. I was getting slow rates too. Today I'm back to 100.

I am having the same issue. Using Newsrazor....2 days ago before I upgraded to Windows 8 I was getting great download speeds. The first time I ran Newsbin in Windows 8 my download speed won't go above 1.1 Mbps.

Tried all the suggested setting changes, port numbers, tried SSL....nothing is working.

Am very frustrated.

I'd try a free giganews trial and see if it's back to fast again.

You need to figure out if it's the server or your PC/Setup/Newsbin.

What does the "Cache" line show in the status bar? See any errors in the logging tab?
