Errors

Postby pantherbin » Sat Nov 03, 2012 2:21 pm

I've been having problems lately making me not be able to access any of the files I have downloaded. Whilst downloading I get 'critical error messages' like:

[17:03:50] ERROR - OpenNew - Warning - Can't create Output files:
[17:03:50] ERROR - Assemble -Spooler: MemIO Unable to Open file:
[17:03:50] ERROR - INT_AssembleFile: Assembly Failed [114550]
[17:03:59] ERROR - OpenNew - Warning - Can't create Output files
[17:03:59] ERROR - CNNTPWorkerFileIO: Unable to Write to SpoolIO
[17:04:01] ERROR - OpenNew - Warning - Can't create Output files

[17:14:19] ERROR - INT_AssembleFile: Assembly Failed
[17:14:52] ERROR - OpenNew - Warning - Can't create Output files
[17:14:52] ERROR - Assemble -Spooler: MemIO Unable to Open file
[17:14:52] ERROR - INT_AssembleFile: Assembly Failed
[17:14:52] ERROR - UnRAR Failed: Cannot open:
[17:14:52] ERROR - AutoPARPlugin: UnRAR failed:

When my download is completed as in say 400mb/400mb with all green bars on the files the files just sit in the 'Downloading files' tab and I can't access them. This is what it looks like in the downloading files tab:

I'm using version 6.40 build 2059 with nzb from NZBMatrix

Looks like you have the download path set to something illegal. Does the E: drive actually exist? Maybe you forgot to mount it or the drive letter changed.

How is the E drive formatted? You probably want it formatted NTFS if it isn't.

Did it ever work? Is this something new?

The errors are telling you Newsbin can't write the data to disk. It's probably all queued up in memory at this point.

The E drive is just a standard drive formatted to NTFS.
I've set newsbin to download to a folder on a different drive and it is now working.

I'm not sure I'd download to the root of the drive. Even something shallow like "E:\DL\" might start working. Sometimes the root of the drive is special. Maybe you've hit some file limit.

I think you're right. Either way it's now fixed so I'm happy. Thank you.
