Search Bug in 6.40

If you think you're not getting enough search results using Internet Search, set the "Age" to 6 months, do a search, then set it back to zero again.

I suspect I'm going to have to put out a fix for this pretty soon.

by 640RC6 Internet search does not help

Newsbin will not have everything, no filters in it..
I search Internet 15 days before " something " = I see 1 result
I search with Newsleecher(Registration is still 2 months) I see 3 result-1 Days and 7Hours old
I copy the header " something " from Newsleecher and search with Newsbin Internet and Local - nothing found (in a.b.warez)
I download the NZB File from Newsleecher and Newsbin download the File correct.

You can't post what you're searching for here. I mean it's a public place. It's simply unwise. Against the forum rules too. Better that you PM me the specifics of what you're searching for.

I took a look into this and it looks like the file is being filtered out as spam. We'll have to look into it. This is unrelated to the fix. The data simply isn't in the database.

Dex and I looked into it this morning. He's going to relax the spam filters and re-feed this group. It's not clear when it's going to be live. Be a couple days at least with testing.
