Groups list - New Folder

While re-entering all my groups, using the Groups list - New Folder command, I noticed an interesting variation

If I create a new Folder and enter say "Books Audio" then I get a folder titled exactly that. If I edit an existing folder to read the same "Books Audio", I get a folder titled "Books_Audio".

Is this by design?
