Is there anyway to download just a small number of...

the earliest headers? Some groups have an enormous amount that would that days to get it all, but I would just like to get the oldest headers - possibly the oldest 6 months worth than say the latest day's headers. Is that possible?

1 - Set a really long "Download Age". Say 2000. Make the "Storage Age" at least that long.

2 - Right click a group "post storage\Use Download Age

3 - "Download Latest" on the group. Newsbin should hunt around and start downloading from long ago.

4 - Delete the download entry when you get enough headers.

To reset it back to downloading the latest.

1 - Set a short download age, 2 days maybe. Then repeat 2-4.

You'll probably have to use "Show all Posts" to get the old records to load up.

Newsbin search goes back in time 1400 days too. I probably need to get Dex to implement "ranged wildcards" so, you can see day ranges with search. If you do it this way, it doesn't delete the existing headers.
