Old posts still showing up with "Hide Old" filter enabled

Postby gumby_dammit223 » Tue Jul 17, 2012 3:52 pm

I check the newsgroups daily and I have "Auto Mark Old" enabled so that all stored posts are marked as old. I also have the "Hide Old" filter enabled. However, I'm still noticing a few posts are making it past the filter and are showing up the next day. They _seem_ to be parts of things I downloaded the prior day. Any ideas what's going on here?

Just wondering,

That happens because sometimes there is an overlap or cross posting , and the vast majority of time it will go away next time you load or soon thereafter. I must admit, though, with the latest release I did notice one or two posts in relatively low traffic groups kept showing up as downloaded, but still appeared when it was several days old. I haven't seen it enough to quantify it just yet, but you might be seeing similar. It does appear to be the exception to the rule, though, and for me eventually did go away.

Thanks for the edification. Yeah, it's not a major deal or anything, just a curiosity I got the ambition to chase.

Thanks again!
