Lost everything... Help

Hi all,

Recently upgraded to 6.31 and this week all of the sudden, I lost all the groups and headers, even the layout. Did I lost it all and need to redo everything or anyway to recover?
Just checked and I still have my SPOOL_V1 and SPOOL_V6 directories. Read post and Samples directories are still intact.

Please advise and thanks in advance

I just had this same problem. Started the program up today and everything is gone. It seems to have wiped all my settings with a clean .nbi file.

I hadn't backed that up for awhile so this is a real hassle.

What version are you using? In 6.31, in the options menu you can select "Load Backup Configuration on Restart". Then restart. If Newsbin can, it'll show you a list of backup configurations you can restore.

For myself, if it happens again I'll try that. I had found a backup I made from January so I just used that this time.

That's the best way. You can backup the backup though and do this recovery at any time if you want the latest one.

Wow. I just had a power failure and when I rebooted my Newsbin config was gone. I came her looking for help, found this thread and was able to restore from a backup.

Very cool.
