Old spool files

Postby MSWallack » Thu Apr 26, 2012 3:04 pm

Pardon me if this has been previously asked and answered (but my quick search didn't provide an answer)...

I'm trying to free up some space on my hard drive. In the Application Data\Newsbin folder there are three spool folders:

Spool
SPOOL_V1
SPOOL_V6

It appears that none of the files in either the Spool or SPOOL_V1 folders have been updated in quite a long time (while the files in SPOOL_V6) are current. Am I safe to delete the Spool and SPOOL_V1 folders or are they still somehow being used by NewsBin 6?

You can kill spool and spool_v1 if you're sticking with 6.X

You are correct Spool_V6 is now the only one that is used, and the others can be deleted.

Wondered about this myself.
This will free up 30 GBs of space on my HD at a minimum.
Thanks.
