Issue with 6.31 and autopar

Postby innocent2k » Sun Apr 22, 2012 2:15 pm

When I download something with autopar enabled, it never goes away from the download list.

It stalls, and when I try to remove it, it also asks me if I want to remove the incomplete files, but they're not incomplete. The files are 100% intact, and all par files are actually downloaded.

Am I doing something very wrong or is this a bug? I don't know what I need to supply of information to make this clearer, but will supply anything I'm asked for in order to sort this out. Never had this problem before.

I wonder if some of the .db3 files in the Newsbin DATA folder have been damaged?

I would pick a time when you do not have anything in the Download list and Newsbin is not running and then delete the autopar2.db3 and downloads.db3 files. They will then be re-created as new empty databases the next time you run Newsbin. Since these store the download/Failed Files/Wish lists make sure you do not remind losing their current contents.

Right click the parent item in the download list and select "Properties". You should see the download status if you downloaded PARS. Do you have "Unrar files" set in the autopar options? If not, the files will just sit there till you do something with them. Delete them from the list or unrar.

Right, that apparently was it.

Would it be possible to request an option where it does indeed autopar/fix, but to not extract the files? I often like to keep the archives intact just the way they are, only wanting to know if they are good or not, and to have this feature fix them with enough pars present.

Well, that's what it's doing now. It's just not clearing them from the download list. Using "Properties" you can see if they're 100% or not.

Sounds like what you're looking for is "If perfect and/or repaired and no unrar, remove them from the list".

Yes, that sounds very much like it. Any chance that will happen? I'm quite certain it did that on earlier versions? (or am I really remembering that incorrectly? Image link not allowed for unregistered users )

Anyway, thanks for clearing it up and I'd be thrilled to have this as an option if possible Image link not allowed for unregistered users
Rest of the options, such as deleting the par-files etc. could still be the same, so I guess what I want is the autopar function to do everything it does, except the unpacking, then removes from the list as you say.
