Still the issue with Par2Repair - Single core on multicore

Postby FriedLocust » Mon Apr 02, 2012 2:09 pm

I know that I'm just some amd user with bad luck that my multicore processor is not recognised. :D
But it is a bit of pain in the ass when with every new beta I'm switched back to Par2Repair - Single core.
Is there a slight possibiliy of adding a checkbox in the installer "force installation of Par2Repair - multi core"?
Or simply force the installation of Par2Repair - multi core on 64bit systems? I honestly can not imagine anybody running 64bit windows on a single core processor.

I'll look into putting some sort of override in if I can't detect the CPU.

Not as though this would be a common occurrence, but for a while I used to run newsbin inside a VM - single core 64bit.

The latest installer now allows you to override the single core detection and force installation of the multi-core PAR processing DLL's.

If you've had this problem in the past, please try the latest 6.31 installer and let me know if it works.
