I have a couple of .OLD files that are about the same size as a .TMP file in the same group folder. I moved the .OLD out of the spool folder to another drive because the Newsbin drive was running out of space.
What, if anything, should I do? I try to compact the group but there are many .TMP files that don't consolidate into the .DB3 file even after compacting.
Can the .OLD files be deleted?

Having "Olds" suggests compaction failed. You might have run out of disk space during compaction. You can just delete them.
