How to tell Norton to ignore Newsbin Pro

Postby JohnWB56 » Wed Nov 23, 2011 5:34 am

I have been having problems with Newsbin Pro 6 built 1342 stalling on downloads.

I use Norton Internet Security 2012 & someone mentioned getting Norton to ignore Newsbin.

Does anyone know how exactly i should do that please.

With such a new release, you'll probably get a better response from Norton than here. Before even going that route, have you tried completely disabling it to verify it's the culprit? Odds are, it is though. Typically these programs have a place where you define exclusions, just enter the Newsbin executable there.

It's been my experience the only thing worse than an antivirus program are these security 'suites', which are so all encompassing and intrusive it's hard to call your computer your own anymore. Even well behaved AV like Eset fall down with their big package. I really wouldn't be running this crap, tbh. Just sayin'...
