Newbins only create download folder

Hello my newsbin somehow only creating the folder for the downloads

when i mark things in the headers list and chose to download, they dont appere in the que but the dir is created where i chose to save it, no files

how can this be

by the way, this is first time i try this, yeasterday i had no probs by downloading

Check the logging tab. Could be it's a duplicate, or a permission issue of some kind, for example. The log should indicate what's going on.

I'd exit Newsbin, delete the file "Downloads.db3" and then restart and try again. This will erase the downloads, failed and wish lists.

Thank you this helped i can now download again. it also fixed another problem.

when i did hit the Start / Stop filtering in the window with all the header. all the headers did disapear, i hitted it again becuse i thought that might turn it off. but they were just all gone.

but now they are back after i deleted downloads.db3

Im sorry but the problem has occured again.

i have set my newbin to download 15 diffrent stuff but only two of them actually got downloaded, the rest are just embty dirs

How are you downloading? Headers, NZB's or search? You might want to upgrade to 6.11 but, I just don't know. Without some error messages, there's no way for me to guess what's going on. You have nothing listed in the logging tab?

i have hadded a group and then im just browsing the group and right click the file -> save to new destination

where can i obtain 6.11?

What's your "Storage Age" set to? I'd make sure it's longer than how old these files are.

my download age is set to 5 days and display age to 2
but when i update a group some files post age are 17days old

is thats my problem?

Storage age is what I'm asking about though. If it's too short, the data you're trying to download might have already been deleted. Set it to 1500. Right click the group "Post Storage/Delete Stored Posts" then download headers again and see what happens.
