I removed the images. Thanks for the links though. We don't show real content here. I did note them though so, I can reference them. This is good information.

I'll check unto it. If the posts are posted "Quotable Printable" which is what Usenet requires, then the filenames should show up correctly but, apparently these aren't. I'll check and see how PAN does it and make Newsbin work the same way.,

Thanks.

Fixed it. It'll be in the next beta.

Edit: Hmm fixed your japanese example, not the korean ones though.

Edit#2 - Pan has problems with the same files Newsbin's having problems with.

thank you Quade, I am sorry not to blur the content.
might be I can show them on pan because I set the character encoding to Korean (EUC-KR)
but I notice if someone post it with
Code: Select all
X-Newsposter: YENC-POWER-POST-A&A-v11b (Modified POWER-POST
   www.CosmicWolf.com

the character didn't show up

but if someone post with
Code: Select all
User-Agent: Newspost/2.1.1 (http://newspost.unixcab.org/)

Code: Select all
X-Newsreader: JBinUp 0.90 Beta 8 - Build: 738 (http://www.JBinUp.com)

it's look fine

I hope this information help you.

It is helpful.

When I investigated this, I found that some people posted UTF-8 subjects. The code change I made to Newsbin was to look for UTF-8 strings and display them properly. The Power Post posts though were unicode converted directly to Ascii. The problem there is that it's a mix of ascii and unicode so, I'm not sure how to pick unicode out of the binary data. I think it's just posted wrong and that's the entire problem.

I also changed Newsbin so, if you post with Newsbin in an asian language, it'll use UTF-8 subject and from fields.

Thanks.
