V6 will not download

Postby Will_Annand » Wed Sep 07, 2011 11:00 am

Recently I upgraded to Win7 64-bit and also Newsbin V6, ever since then nothing seems to download, headers will not come in and NZBs once loaded give the following error.

[09:44:05] ERROR Download List DB - Download List Insert Failed: %sdan.for.mayor.s02e13.Porktoberfest.hdtv.xvid.nzb - 00 of 22 - yEnc
[09:44:06] ERROR Download List DB - Download List Insert Failed: %sdan.for.mayor.s02e13.Porktoberfest.hdtv.xvid.rar - 16 of 22 - yEnc
[09:44:09] ERROR Download List DB - Download List Insert Failed: %shiccups.02x13.Wake the Baby.hdtv.xvid.nzb - 00 of 22 - yEnc
[09:44:10] ERROR Download List DB - Download List Insert Failed: %shiccups.02x13.Wake the Baby.hdtv.xvid.rar - 16 of 22 - yEnc

Everything worked OK with WinXP and V5. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Souns as if the downloads.db3 file in the newsbin DATA folder may be corrupted? You could try deletig (or renaming) it so that a fresh one gets created. While you are at it you might want to do the same to the autopar2.db3 file.

Right click the shortcut that starts Newsbin and hit "Run as Administrator" and then see if it works. If it does then you have a permissions problem and your regular use isn't allowed to write to the data folder. You can move the data folder, fix the permissions or always "Run as Administrator". This is a reasonably common problem when you bring a configuration file forward from say XP to win7.

As Itimpi suggests, you still might want to delete the "Downloads.db3" file too.
