6.10 Crash when close group window will downloading headers

Very often Newsbin has crashed if I close a posts viewing window tab while Newsbin is processing new downloaded headers. Seen it three times.

Must be timing then because it's not happening here. I'll try to reproduce it.

It's been happening to me too, only time newsbin ever crashes is when I close a post list, usually the largest ones like a.b.warez, or a.b.boneless. The other weird thing is when I restart, all the ;ast-updated dates in the groups are 1-2 days ago in the list, but when I download headers it downloads them from the right point, which could have been 5 minutes ago.

Same problem here, though intermittent. This also happened in earlier '6' versions but seldom, not frequently enough to report. Thought it was my setup. Now more pronounced - IM

Newsbin crashes when a group tab is downloading and another one is clicked to close. This was reported back in September 2011. A problem here on multiple PC's - Thanks for your help, FB

Well, the problem is it doesn't crash for me. That's makes it especially hard to trouble-shoot. I'll give it another shot today.

How many tabs do you have open when this happens? How much ram is Newsbin using? There's got to be something you're doing that I'm not and that's why it's not crashing for me.

Quade - Thanks for looking into this. It doesn't seem to make much difference how many tabs are open. Sometimes just a few, sometimes many. 8 GB memory and not using other applications. How do I determine how much RAM Newsbin is using?

Control, Alt, Delete > Task Manager > processes.
