New build?

Postby meimeiriver » Wed Aug 10, 2011 7:09 am

Currently I'm running Newsbin Pro 6, Build 1019; yet there's no way to easily check for updates (and that functionality has never existed even, far as I recall). Really wish it would exist. Even the download page doesn't mention the Build: you can only download the installer.

Honestly, if this could be improved upon somehow, I'd be very happy.

We announce in the MOTD when we think a version is good enough for general use. We put them in the forum initially so, people can test them. After a couple days, if they seem good, we announce it. If you have the MOTD turned off, you might want to turn it back on. It only pops up now when there's a new announcement.

How would you suggest we improve it?

Thanks for your quick reply. :)

Didn't know that about the MOTD; I'll activate that again.

Ss for improvement, something like an extra option ala 'Check for updates on startup' would be nice. But if it's going to be advertised in the MOTD already, I guess the point is kinda moot.
