v6 keeps downloading all pars

I download an nzb from somewhere like binsearch, load it into newzbin and all par files download. I have autopar disabled. How/where can I poke at it to stop them from downloading, w/o having to track down each file and manually pause the par files? the v5 i updated from would put them in the par tab ( or was it called scratch? )

thanks for any tips, i've gone over the options pane a few times now but can't find anything

As far as I know at the moment if you disable AutoPar then all pars always download. This is something I expect Quade will address for those who do not use Autopar.

One option might be to leave AutoPar enabled, but disable the unrar option?

Yeah. I would like to just download the pars I want. I usually download enough to fix 2 complete rars. That way if I haven't burned the stuff off by the time the drive starts to fail there is a good chance I can recover it without having to redownload pars again... (That is if I can even find the original post.)

Just double checking that you know this, but autopar will only download what it needs to repair a file, if anything, despite the whole parset showing up in the queue. So, it will automatically do what you want to do manually, except in this particular case, will actually end up downloading less. Just throw the whole thing in there and forget about it.

Yeah, I'd turn autopar back on and disable automatic unrar of you don't want them to unrar. The other option is, expand the NZB listing and add the files you want as files and not as complete sets.

I've got a feature in the wings to let you disable autopar and manually manage the PAR files but, it's not in there yet.

OK, thanks. I'll survive until the feature arrives. In my previous testing of autopar I discovered I'm just too much of a control freak about when cpu gobbling jobs launch, that and the occasional insanely packaged post has left me averse to it, helpful though it may be.

I have same problem, every time i open a NewsBin there are hundreds of PAR`s in download list, and when i delete them they are again there when i open NewsBin again

Delete the downloads.db3 file. This will clear the download, failed and wish list.

Do not hide the Search tab as this is needed as the anchor tab for Post tabs to open correctly.

If that is not your issue, then check permissions on the Newsbin DATA folder to make sure Newsbin has full access.
