Deselect Any or All Items In Any List v6.0.1019

Is it possible to deselect any selection of items in the lists as in v5.*? Button disappeared in v6.0.109.

Motive: If anything is selected at all, it can be deleted by accident. It happens. I used the v5 "Clear" button" all the time. If the button is overkill, how about providing a keyboard shortcut?

Up or down arrow doesn't do the same? Oh, you mean literally you're concerned about hitting delete for any selected file? Sheesh...

Perhaps a good thing to add rather than a special function is a pane defocus function, like tab moving between panes? That's something I've personally always missed and would deal with the issue - no focus, no deleting. Quade would need to hunt that functionality down, though...

I agree, yours is a much more elegant and very convenient solution.

I've noticed a couple of similar things in V6 which I got used to in V5: clearing searches in the download tab, de-selecting all groups in the Groups list by clicking outside any group line, etc.

There are still fiddlier ways of doing it, such as Ctrl+Select, but those are more difficult to hard-wire into muscle memory.

You get paranoid about clearing selections in feline/input device proximity situations.

Looking so see if I could enable, multi-row tabs for the post lists, noticed keyboard navigation between the panes.

Alt-F6 is next pane
Alt-F7 is show windows select
Ctrl-Tab is the same as Alt-F7.
