B14 PAR files unchecked in download list and do not download

Postby mjpierce » Sun May 22, 2011 7:46 pm

I did do a search but did not see this previously mentioned.

In Beta 14 (9 too but I upgraded) When I load an NZB file and try to download a RARs with PARs set, the PAR files never get downloaded.
If I expand the view in the top pane, the RAR and PAR files are all checked.
If I expand the view in the bottom download pane, the RAR files are checked, however the PAR files are there but not checked.

AutoPAR is disabled in the options.

I cannot seem to check the PAR files in the download list. Not that I would want to have to for ever single set added.

This was a V5 to V6 upgrade path. Could a left over V5 option be having an effect? I seem to remember an AutoPAR option to only download PARs if needed. Since I'm not using AutoPAR I'm going to need them. I could not find anything under the current, B14, options which would address this.

I'd be happy to make a copy of my config file available as this was a testbed and there are no newsgroups subscribed to in it.

A little more information.

Before I noticed this I had tried to download a different RAR and PAR set. It downloaded the very first ".par2" file but none of the others. I cannot say what was checked or unchecked with this set.
This sure sounds a lot like AutoPAR behaviour even thought it is disabled.

And by PAR I mean ".par2" files.

There's nothing to check in the download list, you might need to unpause the files though. Sound to me though, like it's not getting a connection to the news server. Might want to check the logging tab. Do the RAR files download?

I wish I had taken a screen shot because everything is working fine this morning. If I see this again I'll take one.

Sorry for the false alarm.

<Removed by Quade>

I waited to see what happens with the RAR and PAR set. All RARs and PARs were downloaded correctly after all.
However it does look funny.

As you can see, the pane with the NZB has the par files checked for download.

In the download list, they are there but not checked. That's a bit confusing.

Turns out the NZB set I thought had a problem simply had no PAR files, dummie me :)

So, you're saying it's a cosmetic problem. I'll have to check it out. I seldom run with Autopar disabled.

Yes, it seems to be a cosmetic problem. Sorry for the original false alarm. I'll be more careful in the future.
