[18:02:35] ERROR - Failed to Move file to final destinatio

Postby tazmeister » Sun May 01, 2011 8:10 pm

what does this mean?
I'm seeing it appear a lot in the log now

none of the drives on my system are anywhere near full
and there aren't any permissions issues that I ever experience trying to move files around either

I'm using the "save to exist/new folder" option a lot so it's probably related to this
I've never noticed this before and I used do anything other than have NB download to the default location

basically I used to mostly use the "add to download list" options instead of one of the 3 "Download to" LOCATION_OF_SOME_SORT option

Are you actually missing files? If so, it might be a permission issue. If not, then perhaps it's overzealous error logging. The relnotes indicate they've been tweaked...

If it seems to still be working, it typically means your AV software prevents the rename of the downloaded file at least one time. newsbin retries it a couple times before giving up. If you have a bunch of NB2 files left over in your download folder after the download list empties, it means the rename failed.
