You probably have another account on the forums that your key is already tied to. I don't have enough information to look you up and confirm though. Either PM me your key or send email to tech support.

Which problem? There are 2 different types of issues people have been discussing in this thread.

1) Can't enter key in Profile to gain access to registered users area
2) Entered key but still can't gain access

#1 happens if you already have a forum account with your key assigned to it
#2 I'm keeping an eye on. Log out and back in if it's not working

I'm also having a problem. Just registered on the forums and added my reg info in control panel. Cant get to the registered members forum.
Tried logging in/out. No luck.

Just skimmed this thread and discovered that there is supposed to be a registered users forum. (Would be nice to let registered users know that)

I put my key in the profile. Logged out then back in and still no access

Maybe it just takes time to update?

The email message you received with your key information when you registered Newsbin does mention this.

Yes, it takes awhile sometimes. I just forced it through, log out and back in and you'll see it.

Having the same problem as others. I believe I may have an old moldy account from the version 4 days. User profile will not hold the key in this new account. I can't for the life of me remember the old account info. Can you PM me or fix this situation and leave this account as the only one tied to my registration.

It's easier for me to keep the original account than to move the key info to your new account. This is the only post to your current account so its not like you'd be losing any important history. PM me your newsbin key and I can look it up and tell you what your original account name was.

Did you log out and log back in? If it shows you are in the group, you should be able to see the forums.

Having the same problem.

I just bought Newsbin about 20 minutes ago, then registered an account.

I entered the key during the forum registration and it was accepted but i have no access to the private forums. Also i tried to update my key and log in and out, nothing worked.

I also can not view this forum any more, Key has been entered, IE restarted etc. Still no joy, it was OK not long ago as I downloaded beta9 version

You know you can go to the main website and just download the beta right? Just say'in. It's not locked to the Beta section of the forum.

Yup, i know. I went straight to v6b9 from the beginning. I haven't even seen v5.

It's working pretty fine (apart from some stuff like custom lists) so i decided to stay with it and see how it evolves. It would be nice to have access to all subforums though. I hope this issue is found and resolved.

I fixed custom lists and was going to put out a B10 today but, instead I completely re-wrote how logging works in order to make it safer (I suspect it in some of the random crashes).

I'm still plumbing in the new logging stuff so, B10 might not be up till tomorrow.

I entered my reg key entered into my profile a few minutes back, and I logged in and out a few times, and deleted the cookie as well. No change, still no beta forum, and the link still tells me I'm not authorized.

I have been getting the beta updates through the DL link on the main website, but I'd like to see what's going on in the beta forum. Thanks in advance.

I logged in as you and it worked fine. Did you log out and back in? Did you clear cookies and cache? Maybe try a different browser and see if your results are different.

I am a registered user, my profile shows the newsbin key and
shows me as registered. I have cleaned my browser of all history,
caches, cookies...etc. I've tried logging in multiple times. I can not see
the Registered User Forum.

Weird, even though you are in the registered users group, the forum permissions did not get set correctly. I had to do it manually. I guess I'll need to carve out some time to look into this for future users.
