Beta 3 crashes on startup

Postby MilesAhead » Tue Feb 22, 2011 2:54 am

I just updated to beta 3. It crashes on startup.
Pops up the "has stopped working" box.

I have HP Pavilion AMD 5200+ dual core with 2 GB ram.
Windows 7 32 bit.

I had to use a restore point to get Beta 2 back.
Beta 2 was very stable so I have no clue what's up with 3.
Windows Seven 32 bit no SP
HP Pavilion AMD 5200+ dual core
2 GB ram

Delete the workspace key in the Newsbin registry tree. Then start it.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DJI....\Newsbin bla bla \workspace.

It still crashes every time. I'm back to B2 (again).

Same here. Even the updated installation with automatic regkey deleteion didn't help.

Sorry, had to run. I won't touch B3 again. It actually worked for about a minute until it crashed after deleting the reg key. I was liking the "disappearing group tab" until I installed B3,now the tabs revert to tiny windows when I try to move them. I don't like that. I will wait until 6 comes out officially now,or at least until B4. .

When you detach the windows, you might have to stretch them back open. They remember their sizes after that though.
