Regular Expression help in v5.05B2

I'm probably being really dumb here but help!

I'm trying to filter out the piles of trojans currently doing the rounds in many groups, for example a subject header of :-

(APPZ) Uploaded by datacore- "blah blah"

So I have a filter setup as ^\(APPZ\).Uploaded.*

I've added this profile to each of the groups but it simply won't work, In one case it just filtered everything out even things that didn't even slightly match, what am I doing wrong?

I cannot see anything obviously wrong.

- Did you make this a reject or an accept filter?
- It is probably easiest to test filters by loading one of the groups into a Post List and using the RegEx you are testing as a Find filter there. Allows much quicker testing.

I made it a reject filter

There are also ones that start "Uploaded by somejerk"

So I added a filter of ^Uploaded by.*

This doesn't work either
