Where are the error messsages?

Since I updated to the latest version (6.81, Build 5080) the error column no longer displays the reason why a download failed (duplicate, contains .exe file, etc.). I looked for a setting to enable them but didn't find one. Was that deliberate? I found those messages very helpful.
