upgrading from 6.61

I'm an 'upgrade resister' of the 'ain't broke, don't fix' school. Long-time user but not a power-user, and like to stay well behind the 'bleeding edge'... the apparent upgrade-paths on the website are confusing me and I wish I could see an obvious link to 'most-recent stable version'...
That 'website download feature-request' made, what IS the 'most-recent stable version'? 6.80? or somewhere between 6.80 and 6.81 beta 4?

FYI this was prompted by approaching the main site and forums with no log-on, and seeing only 'freetrial' at the main site and '6.81beta4' at the beta page, and NOT seeing a link anywhere to 'upgrade from previous version'... I did in fact have a previous log-in account, forgotten username, but easily recovered a password-change email from 2012, and when I tried 'forgot my password' with that eddress got a 'not found', prompting concern that proceeding further might either double me or cancel me.
I eventually screwed up courage to create a new-user forum account, with my 'key' and everything, so here I am...
...What's that 'most-recent stable version' again? and how would I find it with just my 'key'?

I think the current beta is the best. 6.81B4 I believe. There's no difference between the free trial and the registered version. You just need to add your key after install to change from free trial to registered.

Thanks! May I assume the 6.81B4 installer will preserve my settings? I'm running 6.61

It should. You might want to save off a copy of the configuration file just in case.
