Hi there,

unfortunately i can‘t find any privacy policy regarding the search function. Does that mean there is no privacy at all?

Could you give us an example of what is recorded, in database(s), when someone searches for “gordon“ (even if there is no personally identifiable information attached) and how this information is or might be processed afterwards?

Thanks!

Nothing. We just note who's searching so we can authorize it. Some things are logged for trouble-shooting but then the logs are purged.

Even with things that are logged, we have no history of what specific people are searching for. We know in aggregate what all the subscribers are searching for but it's not associated with an account so, we can't look at a search for "bla" and say "joe somebody" made this search.

The search history you see in Newsbin when you hit the down arrow is stored on your PC. It never leaves your PC.
