Newsbin update check launching good old IE

Out of curiosity...
How come that when I click on the URL (that is shown in the 'News' popup, when launching Newsbin) Internet Explorer is being launched, rather than my default browser?
In fact I think, on my system, it looks like NB is the only application that does this.
Not sure if this is can and/or should be 'set' somewhere within Windows (or Windows registry).

Note : I wouldn't be posting this question, if not that whilst clicking on the close button of IE (the right hand top corner [X]-button), Windows was shutting down entirely, not a reboot, but shut down.

Thanks.

p.s.: maybe the link to open IE is hardcoded into NB ?

What you're looking at in the message of the day window is IE. So it's no surprise that clicking links in there fires up IE. If it really bothers you, right click and copy the URL then past it into your registered browser.

You should also be able to visit the MOTD archive and click links from there.

Thanks.
Okay, I didn't know that was possible.

Oh, btw, I noticed that when I use Help->View MOTD Archive, then my default browser is used.
Shutting down all of a sudden came as a surprise though.

Anyway, thanks again.

Keep up the good work.
