Can you plese remove the multicore on setup

Postby mednzb » Tue Oct 08, 2024 11:19 am

When I have to reinstall newsbin or do an upgrade I have to click the multicore checkbox what cpu today isn't multicore. I know it is too late for 6.91 but 6.92 would be nice if it was removed.

Is this an AMD CPU? I don't believe it asks for Intel.

It is an AMD. Can I just ignore it, or does it still make a difference?

You can ignore it. The issue was the multi-core repair stuff was written for intel CPUs and back in the day it didn't work for AMD.

I don't have an AMD machine to test it on.

I'm thinking my next machine will be AMD so, I'll be able to do something about it eventually.
