I just upgraded to 6.90RC6 from 6.90B1.

I'm having a significant issue with NZB extractions... (I hope it's something simple... I have a lot of configurations setup.)

SETUP
* Watch Folder: C:\NewsBin\Cars\
* Download Folder: D:\Newsbin\AutoNZBData\Cars\$(NZBPATH)\
* UNRAR FOLDER: \\NAS1\Newsbin\Cars\$(NZBPATH)\

If I put an NZB in C:\Newsbin\Cars\Honda

In 6.90B1 it would unrar the file into \NAS1\Newsbin\Cars\Honda\testdrive.mp4

In 6.90RC6 it's unraring it into \NAS1\Newsbin\Cars\testdrive.mp4

how can I get the files to unrar into \NAS1\Newsbin\Cars\Honda\ like they used to?

I've made no changes to the NZB configurations since the upgrade.


(* EDIT: It's also setting the download folder to D:\Newsbin\AutoNZBData\Cars instead of D:\Newsbin\AutoNZBData\Cars\Honda)

Any word on this?

I'm not sure if it is a setting change in RC6 or indeed a bug.

Let me now if I should downgrade to B1 or if I should hang on for an update. Happy to help test if a change is coming soon.

I meant to check but forgot. I might try "$(LASTPATH)" in the NZB Download path.

A work around would be to make more watch folders. Each one with a unique download paths.

** EDIT: I tried adding in lastpath like this:

SETUP:
* Watch Folder: C:\NewsBin\Cars\
* Download Folder: D:\Newsbin\AutoNZBData\Cars\$(LASTPATH)\$(NZBPATH)\
* UNRAR FOLDER: \\NAS1\Newsbin\Cars\$(LASTPATH)\$(NZBPATH)\

Now it's trying to unrar to:
\\NAS1\Newsbin\Cars\Cars\testrdive.mp4

and downloads to:
D:\Newsbin\AutoNZBData\Cars\Cars

I Have WAY too many to create individual watch folders. Plus it's dynamic. There's always new ones.

6.90 is pretty much released. I wish I'd known about this earlier. This might be something that I need to fix in the next beta when that starts up.

So should i downgrade back to B1? Not sure where the functionality might have changed. I would imagine many use NZBPath.

I'm stuck at this point. I'm not sure which way to go.

I'll downgrade if you tell me and keep an eye out in the future for a fix.

Right now, I can't really use Newsbin because it's putting everything in the wrong place and blending it all together.

Quade, If you could let me know either way that would be helpful.

And if you think I should downgrade to B1 let me ask, is that just a matter of installing the old version? Or do i need to uninstall and reinstall the old version and then copy my settings over? Never did that before.

I don't have a good answer at the moment. I'm considering whether I can sneak in a fix before I officially release 6.90. You can use any version you're happy with.

I'm looking into a fix. It's obscure enough I'm not sure there's much danger.

I downgraded back to B1 for now.

If you release a fix and reply here, I have no problem upgrading again and doing some testing. I like some of the interface and obfuscation improvements done in the versions I was missing and would like to go back to it once this issue is resolved.

I noticed in the latest beta post Quade made yesterday there is a fix description titled:

NZB Autoload pathing was using the default NZB Download path.


Is that for this problem?

Yes. Your issue should be resolved in 5524.
