Looks like 'Post Storage' 'Compact Group' does not work

Started with 6.90 rc 6 and it looks like the 'Post Storage' 'Compact Group' does not work.

It works in the background now. You can actually see it working through the groups you selected as it finishes each group.

You are right, I do indeed see the spool_v6 directory getting a little smaller. I'll keep an eye on it as the size is on the high side (105 Mb) compared to 6.82. (around the 60 Mb)
