More fixes for RC3. Below is a summary, details on the Newsbin Beta Page

Summary:

• Fixed issue with unraring RAR files containing empty folders. The folders were not getting created.
• Fixed issue with the Remote interface load range.
• Fixed issue with Read Post Body function (ctrl-r)
• Fixed crash when renaming a group folder in the groups list (Group of Groups name)
• Made change to periodically save total download count instead of only on exit.
• Fixed issue where downloading from search watch list wasn't tagging the post as "downloaded"

Just did the update to 6.71 b4755 & I'm stuffed. [win7x64]
Updated headers, added some files & NB is dead as a dodo.
Loads of display update pending msgs. 0kb d/l speed.
NB will not shutdown without TM forced shutdown.

Tried a reinstall - no dice - still the same.
I'm guessing DownloadsV2.db3 is corrupted as NB will start & close if forced to write a new one. Obviously this destroys my Wishlist.
I had no probs with 6.71 Release Candidate 3.

Update -
Rolled back to RC3 & the queue loaded fine & is working.

We might have ID'd a problem in the release with small rar files. Dex is packaging up a version with the (one line) fix. I'll PM you a link when it's ready to try.

You know, you're better off feeding the files you feed to wish to a custom list or using the watch lists to collect them for you. I find the downloadsv2.db3 to be pretty damn reliable but if you don't you could store off the file elsewhere. You can also periodically generate an NZB from the wish list contents to have a backup.

What he said. Huge crash, have to use Task Manager to shut it down. Wiped out Newsbin totally, reinstalled, same issues. multiple messages of "display update pending" then complete freeze. Went back to 6.70 and all is working.

Wiggins problem is now solved. I PM'd you a link to one to try.

Is it crashing or just hanging? The new version solves a problem with hanging.
