Version 6.70 is now entering Release Candidate Status. We think all the showstopper issues have been resolved and we only have a few minor things left to address. We will be opening this release up to a wider audience to get more eyes on it.
Changes since the last beta:
- Fixed issue with QPMS assembly when case changes in filename
- Installer upgraded to NSIS 3.0 RC1
- Fixed Sonarr and SickBeard remote interfaces (actually this was in B11 but didn't make release notes)
The download link is on the
Newsbin Beta Page. Any questions, comments, or bug reports can be made by replying to this thread or by using the
Technical Support Contact Form.

Hi there,
In b10, B11 and RC1 I'm detecting the following problem files which are incomplete on the server are assembled.
In B9 and all the previous versions the file is marked incomplete en is completed the next run when the file is completely available on the server
Regards,
Jan

I think it's declaring "It's downloaded as much as possible" for incomplete files like this pre-maturely. I believe I've already addressed this. Not sure if we can get another RC out this weekend or not.
Edit: PM'd you a link to another one to try.

The AutoPAR Option "Use internal RAR timestamps. Unchecked uses today's date" does not seem to be working properly. Checked or unchecked, the un-RARed files have the internal timestamp. My preference is to unRAR with today's date. Am I missing something? Thanks.

I've been having this issue, like, forever. Since it was changed from one release to another, it never worked for me.

Have had this problem for a while but it's still present (for me anyway) in this RC1.
If I open an nzb in the program (via file association) and try to search in it, unless the nzb only contained one item anyway, I get no results... even when there definitely should be a match.
On top of that, if I click the nuke button to clear the search entry, the nzb listing stays blank and the count in the tab button stays at '(0)'. I can't find any way to make the items reappear in the list and so have to open the nzb again from scratch.
The search works fine if the nzb only contains 1 item - where it would be pointless anyway - and same goes for the clear button. But anything more than 1 item in the nzb and neither work for me.
Is this something in the program itself or can I fix it by deleting something?

1 - I generated an NZB with 25 files in it.
2 - I loaded the NZB into the post list using "Load NZB".
3 - Then I typed in "06" hit enter and only the files with "06" in the subject showed.
4 - Then I hit the clear button (second from the left) and the rest of them showed up.
A - I don't have "Hide Old" set.
B - The rest of the filters are disabled (the power button).
So how about running me through what you're doing. You can send an NZB to "ts@newsbin.com" if you want me to look at the specific NZB.

Ah ok so I enabled debug logging and saw an entry in the log that said:
[09:39:26] DEBUG Attempted to Display Files older than StorageAge - they were hidden
My storage age is set a low value (30) compared to default (5000).
If I revert to default, or just anything older than the age of the posts in the nzb, the search works ok.
Does the value of 'Storage Age' need to come into play when searching within an nzb? It doesn't seem like it should.
The whole 'one item' thing mentioned in my initial report must have been a fluke during testing where it was an nzb for a newer item.

I'm having an issue where a random rar (meaning on the expanded rar list underneath the "file" that I'm downloading) doesn't show any bars progressing under the Current Progress section but it does show the file size going Size section. This sounds very familiar, I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before or read about someone else having the issue.

Not showing BAR progress is common if the file is made from > 200 chunks. It switches to percentage.
How many chunks are in these files? Typically single files > 200ish megs will have too many chunks to display.

Ah, that's a very good possibility that's what it is. The latest rar I noticed it on was actually a 600MB par file, probably a lot of chunks in it.
Thanks

If a server is disabled when NB is loaded and you then enable it, NB doesn't want to use it until you exit/reload NB!

I'll try verify. It's not something I've seen.

I'm not able to recreate this. Here's what I did
1) I have two servers configured, one active one not, same priority
2) I start a download, observe one server being used
3) I go under Options -> Servers and enable the other server
4) I go back to the Download list, expand out the file, and see the second server is now being used
5) I also went into the Servers tab, expanded out both servers, and see they have active connections.
Can you recreate my steps? Did you have some different procedure?

Has this been acknowledged as a bug? I am having this issue as well.

As mentioned on an earlier release - "Failed Files" do not get marked as such in the group windows. Just as "old/idle" (incl. colour and icon). They do appear in the "FF" tab, though. Sometimes without error description.

Did that, didn't work and my fill server has same priority as my permanently enabled AW servers! It says 'Display update pending' for the fill server when I enable it by clicking the red icon at the side of the server name so it shows a green padlock. I go to the download list and retry the file but it never downloads the missing parts! What did work, and never tried this before, was right click the server and choose 'Enable server(s)' and the file downloaded, even though the server WAS enabled previously by me clicking the icon!

Doesn't sound like you tried exactly the same thing Dex did. Which is probably why your results are different.
My guess is that clicking the icon doesn't actually enable the server.

Also, downloaded files from NZB's don't get marked as downloaded, when trying to DL them again. Or is something wrong on my end (db's?)

Someone reported that just now in IRC too. Not sure I can fix it before release. Dex and I will have to look at it.

The fix did make the release. 4600 has it.

Think you're right, you have to right click and enable, otherwise just clicking the icon says 'Display Update Pending' for the connections. Once you right click and enable the status changes to 'Disconnected' and then connects if still downloading or your force a retry.
