usenet bucket: XFEATURE COMPRESS GZIP (500 unsupported)

I've been using Usenet bucket for a while.

I recently switched to non-SSL (performance issue).

I just noticed that I'm getting the following error with NBP 6.62rc2 (it might have been there for a while):

XFEATURE COMPRESS GZIP: 500 unsupported

Are there any servers not doing GZIP support?

I remember there was an option to remove header compression from the server, but I can't find any setting like that. Maybe it's not needed since NBP can sense that there is no such support, but I do find this whole thing pretty odd...

I'd say yes and that you just found one.

In the server advanced options, you can disable "XFeatures". As long as if still works, I'm not sure I'd bother disabling it.
