RC1 - Don't Want .nfo/.sfv/.srr - How do I stop them?

I just upgraded from B3 to RC1, and now everytime I download a file that has par2 (bundled with the P icon) it is also now downloading all the other associated files. I don't want them! How can I instruct newsbin NOT to get them? Thanks!

RC1 has a bug that means the filename filters don't work 100% (it leaves NB2's behind). Probably the easiest way to filter them is to add a couple filters to the "Global" filter in the filename reject section.

"[.]srr$"
"[.]sfv$"
"[.]nfo$"

and so on. If you don't have a "Global" filter, just add one. It applies to all downloads.

The reason they're all compacted together now is that a "Ctrl-R" will pull information out of all the files to try to help you ID the contents of obscurely named file sets.

If I create that filter, will I still be able to ctrl-r and ctrl-y the specific .nfo's I want, or is it rigid in its rejection? For example, I liked where the.sfv's were not included (even while the ..par2's were), because that was a quick way to grab the file lists of some posts (like in a.b.etc.Is there anyway you could add a preference pane to choose which of the new concatenated are grouped in the subject bundle and which are left alone?

It only applies to files. Not Ctrl-R.

When you Ctrl-R a compacted set that contains these files, they all get pulled at once into a text file for you to look at.
