6.51 build 3159 issues - slow load and disconnection

1. Starting up takes a very long time. I timed it today at over 5 minutes between running the application and until I see any UI (I can see in task manager that it's loading up memory slowly).
2. Yesterday, it stopped downloading completely. All server connections were "disconnected" and I could only do "kill connection" on them (no "retry"). Tried to disable and then enable the 2 servers I have (one regular and one fill-server), but to no avail. Had to restart the application.
I might have had an internet outage yesterday, but once it's back, shouldn't it have retried connecting again?

1. You don't offer up anything in terms of the way you run newsbin that gives any troubleshooting clues, so it's just shooting in the dark. I'm guessing you have a massive download queue since to my knowledge that's the only thing that might need serious processing/memory on startup. Try renaming your downloads.db3 file then starting - zippy again? Any network or potentially offline drives in the pipeline?
2. If you had something as serious as an Internet outage, that's one of those scenarios where I would check /restart *any* service or application that stays connected constantly (which again is a shot in the dark). I'm pretty sure there's a timeout though. The fact it showed as disconnected suggests something was up for a while and the newsbin host was saying "no Internet". Time to restart.

1. The download queue is empty. I deleted the downloads.db3 (42MB) file tried again - faster, but still a bit slow. Shouldn't an empty downloads.db3 be as fast as no such file at all?
What I am seeing that's big is the downloaded.db3 file - it's 2GB+ file. Should I delete it?
2. Sounds right, since it was a unique incident. But shouldn't it have retried after I disabled and enabled the server? I normally don't check on NBP anymore, since it's running on its own dedicated server...
BTW, the file version in the EXE is still at 6.41

There's no problem killing it. It'll just wipe the files list.
