connection tab not visible

Hello, I am using NBPRO v6.42 because even though updates are available, I find this version what I call "flavor of the day" and I use it all the time and suits me fine. However I am having trouble with the "connection" tab appearing in the interface. I click the view menu and click "connections" but no new tab appears for me to see connection activity. Please advise. Happy new year!

I'd probably use the options menu to reset the GUI and try again.

"Reset display Layout on Restart" is what it's called. It should be in the options menu.
