Besides my primairy usenet provider I use the newsserver from my ISP as a Fill server which has a typical retention of 40 days.
I have set this limit in the really advanced server settings and this worked as expected until version 6.5B9.
Since version 6.5B9 when downloading posts older than 40 days the ISP newsserver is constantly accessed for downloading which fails.
The same behavior occurs in version 6.5B10.
I suspect the typical retention setting is no longer functional?

It'll make a comeback. Priority stuff sort of put it into a state of flux. I have to figure out how to plumb it into the new engine.
