Incorrect time

I'm on the latest beta (B4 build 2594) on a Win 7/64 machine. Since build 2554 the Last Update time in the Groups List is showing GMT rather than my local time (PDT). Hasn't NB always used the system time? I don't remember ever having to set my time zone anywhere.

You have to alter your local time in the User Control Panel - up near the top beneath the Robot Icon. For some reason the forum software does not change when areas go on to Summer Time or Winter time.

Edit - I just checked my profile and it has updated to Summer Time - last Autumn I had to change it myself.

I see it too. Not sure the cause just yet. It could be that I'm missing the timezone in the date part of the header or that I'm simply not applying the TZ correctly. It's on my todo list to look at this again.

I for one would appreciate an option in Newsbin which would allow the user to set the displayed date and time for whatever time zone the user desires.

The ability to simply choose between ( ) System default or ( ) Enter offset (UTC +/-): would probably suffice.

I see that this subject is from 2013.
For me it's yet unclear how I can set the time zone or is it set automaticly to the system time?
Only in Newsbin however the time is one hour ahead...

It uses your system time settings. So, whatever timezone you're using, it uses. That said posts on usenet might or might not have the correct date. The dates are completely arbitrary. The posters can set them in the past or the future.

The reason this is a lingering issue is that I don't even notice it. So, I forget to look into it. It is written down in the todo list for 6.60 though.

My 'time-zone' question concerns the group-list window, so not the postings.
I use 2 groups, when they are updated, in the column 'last updated' appears a time 1 hour ahead.
So...(small) problem not solved yet :-)

The dates and times displayed in the Last Updated column of the Groups List for my installation of Newsbin Pro version 6.91B7 doesn't seem to use my Windows 11 Pro 64-bit system's time setting. My system presently displays the correct date and time for my location (Southern California - Pacific Standard Time) but a just completed update of my subscribed groups shows the last update as having been performed one hour in the future.

Have I overlooked a setting in Newsbin's options?
