Version 6.50 Beta 3 Available...

Beta 3 has a bunch of cosmetic changes and some bug fixes from prior betas.

Short summary:

• Fixed issue where deleted files weren't getting sent to the Recycle Bin
• Fixed the duplicate detection mechanism
• Fixed Growl and Email notifications
• The Menu Bar options now change depending on what window has focus so you only see relevant options
• Improvements to how Regular Expressions work for watch lists

Hi there

A new problem occurs in b3 partial downloads keep retrying so the rest of the download list doesn't get a change to download.

Think I found the issue with the files failing to the failed list. Might try to get a new beta up with the fix monday.

All of the useful (to me at least) commands have been removed from customize menubar. 'Select all', "Download", "Download bypass filters", "Delete Posts", "Delete Posts from author"(forget the exact name) and "Clear List" are all gone. This is a HUGE HUGE HUGE step backwards. One thing I loved with Version 6 was the configurable menu bar, but it is now useless. Please. please, please, PLEASE, PPPPLLLLEEEEAAAAAASSSSSE bring the old commands back for it!!!!!!!!!

I doubt if it is deliberate. Probably an unintended side-effect of some other change.

When loading B3 I get the following error :

[12:07:53] InterSocket ERROR Error: SSL Negotiation Failed, Host: www.newsbin.com Error: SSL Connection Failed: 6 Error 0 The operation completed successfully.

B2 was working fine.

Someone claimed that files with "(00/NN)" in the subject were stalling the download list. I'm not seeing it here but, I'm looking into it.

I don't see any evidence that the Growl notifications have been fixed. When entering a Growl server address and password, reports that server is registered, but settings are not retained and no notifications occur.

Yeah, just fixed it. You can hand edit the NBI file with the proper values till B4 is up.
