Notice: Manual cleanup required for 6.50B1

I forgot and left the GZ files enabled in 6.50. That means your header downloads will collect up in the "processed" folder in the data folder. You might want to keep this folder cleared out till I disable it.

Newsbin downloads headers to "Import" now. Moves them the "Processing" while they're being imported and then they end up in the "Processed" folder. They should be getting deleted there but, aren't yet.

I'm using them to test the watch feature. I can add GZ files back to the "Import" folder, Newsbin will re-read them and feed them through the watch code.

Ok, that answers one question on the beta :)

What about the 'processed' folder?

You can just let them collect up to. Ain't going to hurt nothin'.

I'm probably going to make the purge optional. I like keeping the GZ's around so, I can look at them.

Hi Quade (and the others),

Files stay in import folder and headers update take a long time...I've 154 groups...I set an update each 30mn.

Any idea?

Thx for your great work since years.

Best regards,
Nicolas

I'd stop the header downloads until it catches up, then turn them back on again. If the number doesn't go down even when you stop downloading headers, it might be stuck.

One thing you could do is move the GZ files out of the import folder, restart Newsbin then add them back in a couple at a time and see if any of them stall out.

Thank you for your quick reply

It seems quicker if I update each 15mn...

Wait and see :)
