This one is primarily bug fixes. The manual Assemble Incompletes function now will blindly assemble whatever parts of the post are available. There is also now support for .jpe image files. The rest were bug fixes. Here's a short list:
- Fixed issue where passwords with extended ASCII weren't saved properly.
- Fixed issue where new custom lists weren't getting added to the Groups List.
- Fixed issue when importing headers, it was impossible to add files to download
More information and the download link is on the
Newsbin Beta Page.
If you find any issues, either reply to this post of contact us through the
Newsbin Technical Support form.

Thank you for the new version and I'll try it soon but I have a question. What are the proper steps to uninstall and reinstall NBP? I was just deleting the Newsbin folder in Program files and reinstalling but if I want to uninstall a beta and reinstall v6.40, is my way ok to do so or is there a preferred way to do it?
Thank you,
Tattoo

Pretty sure you can just install over top of the existing version.

Yes, the installer will detect that Newsbin is already installed and will perform an "upgrade install" which means it will just update the program files and leave all your settings untouched. You can pretty much go back and forth between 6.40 and 6.41 beta if you want, they are fully compatible with each other. You cannot go back to 6.34 or earlier 6.3x versions without your download paths getting messed up.

Thank you Dexter. I like v6.40 better so I won't be going back to 6.34. The only thing I don't like is the 'Clear the search entry' button being on the right side of the search box. I keep hitting it by mistake so I like it better where it was.
Other than that, I just installed b4 and the problems I found seem to be fixed so far as I can tell. There was another problem I didn't report on because I forgot but when selecting which sort order to list the posts, say if I chose by title then by from, they would be sorted by the poster and then by the title. In b3 it didn't work but in b4 it looks correct again so it got fixed. I like that feature. It comes in handy to me.
Everything else seems fine so far in b4. I'm using it now and will report back if I find any other problems.
Thank you,
Tattoo

I click general pause icon(at the top) , it pauses for several second, then unpauses automatically..
If i pause specific jobs then it works ok.

Maybe you accidentally turned the scheduler on. There's a toggle on the Status bar that might get hit. You can go under Options/Scheduler to see if it's on too.

Running under crossover on Mint 14 64bit.
I am getting random "Your trial has ended" pop ups, usually on startup and a close/reload fixes it, but I just got it after it has been running for about 10 min.
Nothing in the logging, and all it is doing at the mo is downloading headers.
