Beta 6 fixes the automatic download function that got broken in the last release. Also includes some other bug fixes, tweaks, etc.

Summary:
  • Fixed Auto-header download. Was broken in previous version.
  • Fixed issues in Remote Control interface identified by the new NBRemote open source test tool.
  • New NBI option, set Append=1 in the [LOGGING] section will preserve the contents of the Logging tab between runs.
  • The "Download to New Folder" now expands the filenames before setting the "Open In"
  • Layout changes to post list toolbars

The download link is on the Newsbin Beta Page.

Incomplete posts in GoG not updating until GoG is closed and reopened.

1. A header update is performed (automatic or manual). Some items show complete, some incomplete.
2. Subsequent header updates do not update the incompletes to complete until the GoG is closed and reopened.

Cannot keep Newsbin open. It opens and then a message pops up that it has stopped working and it crashes.
What to do? :|

Could try deleting the downloads.db3. Other than that I'm not sure. This is the first report of this with B6.

When my D drive is full and I start up Newsbin, it showed me a popup with 2 bars with one bar being almost full. It got mixed up. Apparently it said that my C drive was full, but it's the D drive, and vice versa

edit: added pictures

also, clicking on Ok does not dismiss the window, but clicking on the X do

Not sure why you think Newsbin is complaining about the C: drive rather than the D: drive? The popup is showing you both the Data drive (C:) and Download drive (D:) showing how much space is used and how much is free on each. The values displayed seem to be about right as far as I can see with the D: drive being the one that is getting low. In my experience it is normally the Download drive that runs out as the Data drive (if different) tends to reach a steady state.

It's not supposed to go away till you clear space. If you clear space, it'll close on it's own. I see what you're saying, that the capacity and bar graphs are swapped.

I see, then the OK button should be greyed out when there are insufficient space, or some kind of tooltip given to user saying that this window will automatically close and resume. This is also the first time i have seen this; previous releases only shows the warning window and I normally just click on do not show this again, and continuing queuing files until I went and clear my drives.
